Backyard Camp Out
Pitch a tent or make a blanket/towel fort right outside. Turn off your phones and tablets and spend some time outdoors with your loved ones. This also makes it easy for bathroom breaks (in a clean, sanitary environment).
Themed Family Photo Shoot
You don’t need a professional photographer for this idea! Take turns taking pictures, and pick a fun theme for everyone to dress up in. For example, you could all be pirates in an epic battle! These would make great action shots and really capture a beautiful moment together.
Family Bike Ride
What better way to get active and enjoy some leisure time together? You can map out a route, or just go wherever the afternoon takes you. If you have little ones, this is a great opportunity to teach them to ride a bike while everyone is around as a support system. You can have mini races or just take a casual ride around the neighborhood. If you live near the beach, even better!
Dance Party
Throw on some loud music and just have fun being silly! Snap some pictures and videos to capture the moment. You can even save them for future birthday cards/invitations, Christmas cards and other announcements! Choose all kinds of fun genres, make up group dances or just have a free-for-all!
